A little about myself:
Having more than 16 years of experience as a birth doula, midwife’s assistant and a midwife, Rhonda has attended more than 290 births.
Rhonda lives in a country setting just outside of East Grand Forks, MN, with her youngest daughter and their yellow Lab, Shay. She and her (deceased) husband have a blended family of 8 children ranging in age from 37 to 18.
For as long as Rhonda can remember she wanted to be a nurse to help women with the birthing process. When her friend explained to her what a doula does and mentioned a doula training she jumped at the chance! Rhonda loves being a doula and helping women/families find their way on their birth journey. Families have hired Rhonda to be their doula at their home birth and in the hospital. She works comfortably alongside midwives as a doula and occasionally as a birth assistant. Rhonda also works in the hospitals with OB’s and doctors helping to create a personal addition to your birth team.
Giving birth is one of life’s most beautiful and memorable moments. It can also be an intimidating time as we tread unchartered waters. As your doula, Rhonda will help you and your partner to navigate through all the unknowns so that you can make the best decisions for you and your birth, ultimately helping you to have the best birth possible.
Along with being a doula, Rhonda is also a birth assistant, a midwife, a postpartum doula and birth photographer.
Rhonda looks forward to each and every opportunity she is given to support, nurture and encourage mothers and their partners during one of life’s most amazing moments. Give her a call to set up a free consultation to visit with her about your options and to see if she might be a good addition to your birth team.
